Our new nabe is within walking distance of the George Washington Bridge, which connects Manhattan to New Jersey. This bridge was built in the late 20s and opened in the early 30s. Its actually longer than the Brooklyn Bridge.
Anyway, we've always admired the bridge, especially at night when they light it up, but just last weekend we discovered that you can walk across it! Here are some shots I took on my iPhone as we strolled along the bridge's pedestrian walkway.
The photo below is a bird's-eye view of the famous Little Red Lighthouse, which is underneath the bridge.

Happy Halloween!

I hope you all had a good October 31st! We got dressed up and went downtown again for the infamous Village Halloween Parade. I was a masquerade-ball attendee ...
... and Burke was Nikola Tesla!
The parade was crazy as usual. There were floats, bagpipe players, people on stilts, group costumes, live music, and tons of Michael Jacksons. This school of "jellyfish" were smart because it ended up raining for about an hour during the night!

Jeff dressed up as Michael Sera from the movie Juno. He even had orange Tic Tacs! Our friends Vanessa and Jeffrey were dressed as Day of the Dead skeletons.Ruby and Rudy were both the Hamburglar!

Happy Halloween!
