Karen's Visit!

Karen came to NYC the first weekend in December to hang out with us! It was SO nice to see her.
The first night she was here, we saw an improv performance at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater. It was a comedy "rap battle" that ended up being pretty hilarious. The next day, we went to the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum, which is inside a beautiful old mansion that was once owned by Andrew Carnegie. That evening, we got our first snow!
We also had several tasty meals, and even a famous Levain cookie! Plus we did some karaoke. (Finally I got to "rock the mic" with Karen!)
It was such a wonderful visit! Burke and I wish she would come up every weekend.
Oh--also, right before she came in town, Burke and I put up our Christmas tree! We decorated it with handmade paper snowflakes. (They were hard to cut, but definitely worth the trouble.)

I had a super great time! I also meant to tell you that those snowflakes were awesome. I hope next time Paul can visit and we can go watch the "Beat Down" show again. Actually, I'd like to do the entire trip again.
